Suspected Murderer Shot and Killed by DPS

A man accused of killing a San Antonio woman and  kidnapping their 1-year-old daughter has been shot and killed by DPS troopers.

Thirty-seven-year-old Adrian Hardeman was shot Monday afternoon following a crash in Gonzales

Hardeman had been on the run for about 3 hours after allegedly gunning down April Russell at an apartment on Northeast Loop 410 near Starcrest around noon.

Police say he was upset about their recent breakup and had been at the home earlier in the day, trying to reconcile.

He fled with their child, who was later found safe at a home on Wycliff.
