Taylor: Vet Homelessness Ended in S.A.

A major milestone reached in the Alamo City.

“This morning, I am announcing San Antonio has effectively ended veteran homelessness–as defined by the White House initiative” said Mayor Ivy Taylor, standing on the steps at City Hall making the announcement.

The City launched a major campaign last year focusing on the issue.

“Our men and women who served have sacrificed so much. The least we can do is to make sure that every single one of them has a place to call home” said former Mayor and current Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro, who stood beside Taylor as the announcement was made.
