Three people were arrested Thursday for their roles in helping three inmates escape the Bexar County Jail last week.

The inmates were able to get out by cutting a hole through some mesh that was about 20 feet off the ground.  They made their way down the fence using some bed sheets.

They were found at a Sonic restaurant near Blanco and Hildebrand.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says Michelle Ramirez — one of the escapee’s ex-girlfriend — was the driver of the getaway car.  She was one of the three people arrested.

One of the inmate’s mother — Gabriella Arroyo was also involved.

The sheriff’s office also arrested Marcos Maldonado.

A jailer was also placed on administrative leave after the escape.
