TREY’s TAKE:  Everyday is Independence Day

I believe it is so important that parents of this country teach their children and grandchildren about the USA everyday. and to celebrate everyday as Independence Day.  We are on the front lines in the battle for the soul of the USA.

This is one of the most important jobs parents in the USA will ever do.  It’s too important to leave up to the schools.

Make sure your children and grand-children understand what the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution mean in their purist form.  Talk to them about why liberty is important to them specifically.  Tell your children about the bold men and women who gave all they had to secure those freedoms for us.  Be sure they understand the tremendous sacrifices those men and women made to establish liberty and freedom, and the sacrifices every generation must make to keep the torch of liberty burning bright for the next generation.  Don’t let your children or grand children take freedom for granted for even one second.  Explain why it is important they wake up every day with a heart full of gratitude for the nation they live in.

Explain how unique and precious the USA is in the community of nations, and how carelessness or a momentary lack of diligence can cause us to lose the precious gift of freedom.

Teach them to celebrate Independence Day every day – not Just on the 4th of July.

We must actively be engaged in this endeavor every day if the principles of freedom and liberty are to continue.
