Tricentennial Kickoff

The biggest party in the city’s history is being planned as San Antonio prepares to turn 300.

Hundreds gathered at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts Wednesday morning to hear more about the year young celebration planned for 2018.

Katie Luber from San Antonio 300 says

“It’s not just the festivities but an educational experience too.” “People will also have opportunities to learn more about the city’s history during the celebration.”

Mayor Ivy Taylor says it’s a chance for the city to show what we have and what we are capable of.

The Celebration is still a couple of years off but you can learn more about it and how to get involved by going to sanantonio300.org.
