Two Families Displaced by Duplex Fire

A couple of northeast side families find themselves starting over after flames sweep through their homes Monday Night.

That fire in a duplex off of Montgomery Drive brought out firefighters from several companies in the area.

“The fire crews were able to stop the fire before it was able to damage the second unit. However, two families were displaced, and the American Red Cross is assisting them today” Bexar County’s Laura Jesse told KTSA News.

No one was hurt by the flames, which started in an attic. Jesse said investigators do have a good idea of what happened.

“Our arson investigators determined it was accidental or electrical in nature” Jesse said.
