Two Local Students Arrested For Social Media Posts

Two Northeast ISD students are under arrest as the result of a disturbing social media post.

A parent in the district called police after seeing the post about a gun, drugs, and booze on campus. Police say a 17-year-old is charged with having a gun in a gun-free zone, and pot possession in a drug-free zone.

A 16-year-old faces a charge of possessing stolen property. The students were arrested about 11 a.m. at the Academy of Creative Education.
