Two Men Jailed in Robbery, Kidnapping of Pizza Delivery Driver

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office charged two men with robbing and kidnapping a pizza delivery driver in northeast Bexar County Tuesday night.

Deputy Leonard Lopez said Phillip Pinkney, 20, and Joe Martinez, 19, robbed the driver at gunpoint in the 7800 block of New World Drive when he had went to deliver them pizza. The two then allegedly forced the delivery driver back into his car, drove up the street with him and dropped him off. The delivery driver then went to a family member’s house where he called BCSO.

“Two subjects drove off with his vehicle, pizza, obviously, undisclosed amount of money and his cell phone,” Lopez said.

Quick work from the BCSO Sheriff’s Habitual Offender Team, or SHOT for short, led deputies to a barbershop the two suspects were at on Wednesday. Both suspects face aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping charges.
