Two SAPD Officers Out in Bribery Scheme

Two San Antonio Police Officers have resigned from the Department after they were caught in a bribery scheme.

Officer Daniel Schmitt was giving passing inspections to the local trucking company in exchange for cash.

He got $7,000 over a two year period but eventually his superiors caught on and he was terminated.

Another officer, Johnny Diaz was also involved and he was forced to resign.

No charges have been filed against Texas Chrome Transport but that could change as the DA’s office continues it’s investigation.
