TX Gas Prices Tumbling Fast

By Bill O’Neil

Prices at gas pumps around San Antonio and across the one Star State continue to tumble fast.

AAA Texas reports the Statewide average price per gallon of regular unleaded has fallen by five-cents over the last week, while the San Antonio average fell by six-cents.

At $2.03 per gallon, the Alamo City’s average is among the lowest in Texas right now.

A weakened crude oil market is widely seen as the reason for the recent free fall in gas prices.

The highest averages in the State right now are found in the Dallas-Fort Worth area–as well as in Galveston–where supplies may have been impacted in recent days by the approach of Tropical Storm Cindy.

The lowest average price per gallon is found in Amarillo–at just $1.91.
