TX Pump Prices Solidly Below $2 Per Gallon for Thanksgiving

If you’re planning to hit the road just ahead of Thanksgiving you may notice those prices at the gas pump are continuing to fall.

A final pre-Thanksgiving check with AAA Texas puts the average price per gallon of regular unleaded in the Lone Star State at $1.92. The San Antonio average sits five-cents less at $1.87.

On those roads, you’ll have to travel pretty far from the Alamo City to find the highest average price per gallon–out west in El Paso at $1.94. The lowest average price per gallon is found well to our northwest in Amarillo at $1.79.

Averages in the Houston, Dallas and Austin areas both stand at $1.92–while the average in the Fort Worth-area sits at $1.89.
