TXDOT to Talk FM 1103 Improvements

A TXDOT public meeting in Cibolo Tuesday night will show off proposed improvements along a stretch of FM 1103, between I-35 and Rodeo Way.

“What we are proposing is expanding FM 1103 from a two lane roadway to a four lane roadway, with a center turn lane,” Laura Lopez said. TXDOT also proposes “pedestrian accommodations and also we will have to acquire right-of-way for this project to move forward.”

The plan is for the project to start in 2018. It’ll take about 30 months to finish.

“We are right now especially in the early stages because we need to acquire right-of-way so that is subject to the right-of-way acquisitions and also utility relocation,” she said.

The project’s cost estimate is about $24M.
