Villalba Wants to Exempt Texas Flag From Sales Tax

A State Lawmaker is hoping more Texans will show state pride by flying the Lone Star flag.

Jason Villalba tells us he’s introduced a bill that would make the state flag exempt from sales taxes.

He says he got the idea form a Boy Scout Troop and thought it would be a great way for more Texans to buy and fly the state flag.

The bill is getting some great support at the capitol.

“Lawmakers from all parties want to promote Texas heritage and this is a great way to do that.”

The flags would be tax free year round.
