Warrick Sees Signs of Progress on the Eastside

New businesses, new youth programs and an increased Police presence.

That’s what City Councilman Alan Warrick says helped the east side of San Antonio have a productive year.

“We’ve had over 25 new businesses start up this year.”

After a rough start, Warrick says that violent crimes have gone down significantly in recent months.

“The increased support from the┬áPolice Department and the increased man power on the east side have been critical to the success we’ve had thus far and we have to keep it up.”

Warrick adds they have several new youth programs that help keep kids off the street as well.

He expects the growth to continue as property prices on the east side are still some of the lowest in the city.
