Zika Update From Metro Health

Metro Health is keeping up it’s Zika investigations.

Dr. Anil Mangla says so far in Bexar County their have been three confirmed cases of Zika, 6 more are waiting for results and one other tested negative.

Dr. Mangla says that’s great news because it shows that not everybody who comes back from Central and South America is going to have Zika.

The mosquito born virus will make sick for just a few days but it has been known to create serious problems for women who are pregnant or planning on having a baby.
