12 year old San Antonio boy wakes grandmother, helps her get out of burning home

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 12 year old from San Antonio is being called a hero after helping his grandmother escape as their home was on fire.

The fire broke out Sunday afternoon at a home in the 9500 block of Cliff Creeks on the Northwest side.

One of the residents was taking a nap and her grandson was playing video games when they power went out.

The boy then noticed flames coming from the room where the circuit breaker is and ran into his grandmother’s bedroom to wake her up and help her out of the house.

The home has some heavy damage and the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
