14-year-old charged with killing pregnant San Antonio teen and her mother

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – A 14-year-old boy has been charged with capital murder in the deaths of a pregnant teen and her mother. Eighteen-year-old Bernadett Quiroz and her mother, Janette, were found shot April 9 at an apartment complex on Emerald Ash. Both died of their injuries.

Doctors at San Antonio Military Medical Center were able to deliver Bernadett’s baby girl, but the infant died a few days later.

San Antonio police on Monday  served a 14-year-old suspect with a capital murder warrant. He already was being held at the Juvenile Detention Center on an unrelated charge of aggravated robbery.
