Teenager killed in accidental shooting on San Antonio’s Northeast side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Two teenagers were handling a gun at a Northeast side home early Tuesday morning and one of them ended up dying from a gunshot wound.

Police were called to a Village Crest home just after 4 A.M. Tuesday where a 13 year old was reaching for a gun that was brought into the house by one of his friends.

The gun went off and the boy was hit in the chest. The teenager was brought to the hospital and he died a short time later.

Police are still investigating the shooting but what they do know is that the gun didn’t belong to the homeowner and it’s possible the weapon was stolen.
