McManus Blasts Sanctuary Cities Bill

San Antonio police chief William McManus is blasting the House-passed sanctuary cities bill as “racist.”

The Chief feels the bill will make it tough for Police Officers to do their jobs because it will discourage immigrant communities from reporting crimes.

He says forcing police officers to ask about a detainee’s immigration status amounts to “racial profiling.”

Currently, San Antonio bans officers from asking suspects about their immigration status.
