19 year old found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on San Antonio’s Southwest side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a 19 year old San Antonio man.

Avery Flores was found shot to death in a car in the 200 block of Briggs Avenue just before 1 A.M. Sunday morning.

KSAT-12 is reporting Flores’ girlfriend has told police that Flores had been arguing with 20 year old Sammy Gutierrez over the phone.

Flores is said to have driven to Guitierrez’s home and while he was getting out of his car, Gutierrez began shooting at him.

Flores was not armed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gutierrez reportedly told police Flores had made some threats and admitted to shooting him.

Gutierrez has been charged with murder.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are looking for whoever shot a recent Southwest High School graduate.

Officers were called to a shooting in progress in the 200 block of Briggs Avenue just before 1 A.M. Sunday.

Police found 19 year old Avery Jacob Flores in his vehicle, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators have spoken to some possible witnesses but at this point, no further information has been released.
