SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Two women have pleaded guilty to federal charges related to spray-painting graffiti at two San Antonio missions designated as World Heritage sites.
During a court hearing Thursday in San Antonio, 21-year-old Gabriella Petra Fritz and 22-year-old Sydney Elizabeth Faris each pleaded guilty to depredation of government property.
The San Antonio Express-News reports a plea agreement calls for the women to jointly be responsible for more than $10,000 in restitution.
In court, the women acknowledged they sprayed graffiti on the walls and other areas of Mission San Jose and Mission San Juan in June.
Fritz and Faris each face up to 10 years in prison when they are sentenced in April.
A third defendant in the case is scheduled to have a plea hearing next week.
