SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It took crews several hours to clear the wreckage from a deadly crash in Seguin.
It started Thursday afternoon when a semi carrying meat products lost its load on I-10 Eastbound at the Highway 123 overpass.
When the load spilled out, it made the road slippery and when another semi approached the scene the driver swerved to avoid hitting the disabled trailer but skidded into the guardrail and hit a car.
The car caught fire and other vehicles trying to avoid the crash weren’t able to.
A total of 5 vehicles were involved in the crash and three people were killed.
The crash closed down that section of the interstate for several hours and the road beneath the overpass was shut down as well when some of the wreckage fell onto it.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
