3 police officers shot in Austin suburb

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Three Cedar Park police officers have been shot while responding to a call in the HeritagePark subdivision.
Assistant Police Chief Mike Harmon tweeted around 6:30 Sunday afternoon that the officers were in stable condition, but the crime scene remained an active situation with several law enforcement agencies on the scene.
The Cedar Park police department earlier Sunday afternoon reported that three officers were wounded and a suspect remained barricaded inside a home.
Governor Greg Abbott issued the following statement;
“Our hearts are with the police officers who were injured while protecting the Cedar Park community this afternoon. We must never take for granted the service and sacrifice of our law enforcement officers, and the State of Texas stands ready to provide the support and resources needed to bring justice to those involved. I ask that all Texans join Cecilia and me in prayer for the these officers, and for the safety of all law enforcement officers across the state.”
