3-Yr-Old Found After Thieves Stole Mom’s Car

by Elizabeth Ruiz

It was a terrifying ride for a 3-year-old boy who was in the backseat of a car that was stolen from the city’s West Side.

Josue Gonzalez was asleep in the back seat of a Mustang convertible when his mother stopped at a convenience store on South Brazos Monday evening. When she emerged from the store minutes later, her car and her son were gone.

Police swarmed the area and used the department’s Eagle helicopter to search for the boy. He was found a couple of hours later in La Grange, which is about 100 miles east of San Antonio.

A suspect has been taken into custody.
