AAA offers Tipsy Tow service on July 4th

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Celebrating the nation’s independence a little too much? AAA can make sure you and your vehicle get home safely.

The auto club is once again offering their “Tipsy Tow” service from 6 PM on July 4th until 6 AM July 5th.

If you have a few too many alcoholic beverages, simply request a Tipsy Tow at 1-800-222-4357 or 1-800-AAA-HELP  and you will receive the free tow and ride home, up to 10 miles.

Once you call for a Tipsy Tow, a AAA contracted tow truck service will come to get you and your car.

You don’t have to be a AAA member to use the service but keep in mind it’s for a one time, one way ride for the driver and the vehicle.

These situation are not eligible for Tipsy Tow:

• A request to tow an inoperable vehicle.
• A request to tow to another drinking establishment, repair facility or any other location other than the driver’s home or hotel where they are a registered guest.
• A request to start a vehicle, change a flat tire or deliver gas.
• A request for a “taxi” service or to transport anyone other than the driver of the vehicle.
