About 100 firefighters respond to fire at Northeast Side clinic

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News)- Two San Antonio firefighters were being treated for heat exhaustion after battling a two-alarm blaze in the city’s Northeast Side early Thursday.
About a hundred firefighters responded to the Fire at Family Physician Clinic on Nacogdoches Road near Leonhardt around 4:30 a.m.
San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood says burglar bars hampered firefighters and the flames quickly rose to the attic.
As of 6:45, Nacogdoches Road remained closed between Leonhardt and Bell because of all the fire equipment.
