ACL: Proof of vaccination or negative COVID test to enter

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Austin City Limits Music Festival announced today the steps concert-goers will have to take to attend the festival as the delta variant of COVID-19 upends the country’s attempt to return to business as usual.

Festival organizers announced today that ticketholders will have to provide proof of vaccination or test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of attending ACL. The festival’s mask policy will be announced closer to the show set for October 1-3 and 8-10.

In addition to health and safety announcements, ACL announced that Goth Babe and Omar Apollo have canceled their appearances. Instead, organizers said Lunay, Frances Forever, Shooks and Cautious Clay have been added to the updated lineup.

ACL announced last week that Stevie Nicks would not attend over COVID concerns and DaBaby was taken off of the lineup following controversial statements made at a show in Miami last month. Tyler the Creator was announced to take DaBaby’s headlining spot.

Other additions have been announced since the lineup was first revealed in May, including LeAnn Rimes, Duran Duran and more.
