Dallas police now say there was no active shooter situation at Love Field Airport Monday.

Police said she was dropped off at the airport wearing a hoodie.  She changed out of her clothing, went to the Southwest Airlines ticket counter and fired her gun.

A police officer shot her in the legs.

Dallas police chief Eddie Garcia stated that the situation was immediately resolved and there was no ongoing threat to passengers or visitors to Dallas Love Field.

The shooting prompted a ground stop at the airport, preventing flights from arriving or leaving the airport.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are reporting shots fired at a terminal at Dallas Love Field Airport.

The situation has been described as an active shooter at the terminal, but police also report “the terminal is secure.”

The Federal Aviation Administration confirms a ground stop was put in place.

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia says a 37-year-old woman is now hospitalized after she was shot in the legs by an officer.

Police say an officer came in response to the woman pulling a gun and pointing at the ceiling.

No other injuries are reported.
