SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – An Amber Alert has been issued for a 3-year-old girl abducted from her grandmother’s San Antonio residence.

Police say the child’s mother, who does not have legal custody of the child, got in through a window Monday night and took Zanyah Lucio.

“The grandmother did try to stop her from taking the girl, but she was pushed down to the ground,” said San Antonio Police Sgt. Michelle Ramos.

Because the grandmother was knocked down, she didn’t get a description of a vehicle.

Police believe the child may be in “grave danger.”

A warrant has been issued for 20-year-old Gabriela Lucio as the search continues for her and her daughter, Zanyah.
