UPDATE 8:23 a.m.:

The search for a missing two year old is over.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that Jaya Trevino and her father, were located at around 8:40 Tuesday morning near Military Drive and Timbercreek.

The little girl is said to be fine but she will undergo a precautionary medical evaluation.

Her father, Juan Trevino had taken the girl from her mother’s house on Monday.

He’s is custody at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.

UPDATE 10:08 p.m.:

Bexar County sheriff Javier Salazar said the car seen leaving the scene has been found, but Trevino is still on the loose with the girl.

Salazar said Trevino needs to turn himself in to get the girl whatever medical treatment she may need after suffering an injury during the confrontation between Trevino and his estranged wife.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 2-year-old girl taken by her father from northwestern Bexar County Monday morning.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said 2-year-old Jaya Trevino was taken by her 33-year-old father, Juan Trevino at around midnight Monday in the 10700 block of Shaenfield Road.

The sheriff’s office said Trevino kicked down the door to his estranged wife’s home, threatened to physically harm her and then assaulted her.

He then grabbed Jaya and ran out of the house.

The sheriff’s office said the victim observed Jaya’s head slam against the door on the way out of the house.

Juan and Jaya Trevino were last seen getting into a black 2014 Nissan Sentra with the Texas license plates MSK 1273.

Jaya was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt with purple and pink lettering reading “Big Sister”.
