American coronavirus count up to 13, CDC says Lackland not connected to new diagnosis

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The number of Americans diagnosed with the 2019 Novel Coronavirus has reached 13.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said this latest case is of a recent evacuee from Wuhan, China, under federal quarantine in California.

The CDC team at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland said the evacuees in San Antonio traveled to the United States on a different plane than those who are quarantined at Miramar, where this latest diagnosis was made.

The military and CDC say they are doing daily checks on the 91 evacuees in San Antonio for any signs or symptoms of the virus.  Currently, there have not been any.
