SAN ANTONIO (Texas News Radio) — Monday is “National Eat Your Vegetables Day” and Green Giant has uncovered the nation’s favorite vegetable.

The vegetable company polled over 5,000 Americans to find to learn most people consider broccoli to be their favorite.

Respondents in Texas said the same.

In fact, broccoli reigned supreme in 39 states, blowing out corn, which only won seven states.

Carrots were the favorite in two states — Nevada and North Dakota, cauliflower was the favorite in Montana, asparagus was favored in Alaska, and potatoes were #1 in Arkansas.

Potatoes won five states in 2018.

Cucumbers did not make it to the list in 2019 after winning two states the previous year.
