SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Another August day in San Antonio, another heat advisory with National Weather Service predicting a high over 100 degrees. Heat index values are expected to peak in the 108 to 110 degree range with the real feel temperatures reaching  112 in isolated locations.    Heat index values are expected to decrease mid to late week.

Prolonged exposure to this heat could lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, or even heat stroke. Students participating in after-school practices, the homeless, the elderly, and individuals without access to air conditioning may be particularly vulnerable to this heat.

The heat advisory will be in effect from 1 this afternoon until 7 this evening.
