Another San Antonio High School graduate creates controversy during commencement ceremony
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Last week it was a Mexican flag, this week it’s lingerie and glitter.
Another local high school graduate created a stir during commencement ceremonies.
It was during the Clark High School graduation on June 8.
A student who was just handed his diploma cover opened up his gown to reveal he was wearing lingerie.
He then threw some glitter and blew kisses to the cheering crowd before he was escorted off the stage.
Video of the scene has been making the rounds on social media.
A statement from the Northside ISD claims that they can’t share disciplinary actions towards individual students but the disruption was not overlooked.
The student did not receive his diploma at the ceremony. The district says the document remains at the high school.
Earlier this month, a Southwest Legacy High School graduate was escorted out of the Alamodome after waving a Mexican flag as she crossed the stage during the school’s graduation ceremony. She received her diploma after meeting with officials at the school last Monday.
