SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Anti-mask protesters walked through a Target store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida  yelling “take it off.”

About a dozen protesters walked into the store Tuesday, took off their masks and started playing the song,”We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Twisted Sister as they shouted at customers to take off their masks.

“Can’t you breathe better without the mask?” asked one of the protesters.  “This is America,” another shouted at customers. “You don’t need it.”

But Dr.  Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says face masks are “the most important powerful public health tool that we have and I will continue to appeal for all Americans, all individuals in our country to embrace these face coverings.”

Redfield went on to say,”We have clear scientific evidence that they work. I might even go so far as to say that this face mask is more guaranteed to protect me against COVID than when I take the COVID vaccine.”
