Is what we’re seeing from Mother Nature this week just a warm up for what lies ahead?
“We’ve got a lot of severe weather taking place all over the State of Texas” Mark Hanna with the Insurance Council of Texas told KTSA News, adding “Right now, it seems like the severe weather is hitting early–last year it was late March.”
Which is why Hanna said now is the time to make sure you’re comfortable with your coverage–in the event disaster strikes close to your home.
“Your roof, your car, your business–this is the time to be checking on it” Hanna said, pointing out most of that can be done easily and quickly.
“You just want to make sure you have the right insurance coverage. All it takes is a phone call or getting online–and making sure you have the answers to anything that might occur” Hanna said.
And, most of those coverage plans can take effect immediately.
“Flood insurance takes thirty days to take effect once you purchase it, but if you want to get comprehensive insurance on your car so you can protect it from hail–or for your home–you can call right now and have it in effect within minutes” Hanna said.
