Area Mayors Taking Part in Summit

The mayors of San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos, and Austin meet Friday morning in San Marcos, part of a regional growth summit.

“I want us to be proactive in thinking of ways that we can work together and not always competing,” Mayor Ivy Taylor told KTSA News.

She said I-35 is a growth corridor.

“We can develop and build a plan that allows us to compete as a region,” she said. “I think, definitely, the economic development and moving toward this vision of South Texas as an economic powerhouse is the common link between all of us.”
