Attempted carjacking leads to shooting, victim shot numerous times

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is looking for two suspects connected to a shooting that took place during an attempted carjacking on the West Side.

Investigators say the victim had picked up two people around 3 a.m. Sunday morning before going to a motel for a party. After arriving at the location, police say the two passengers tried to carjack the driver.

KSAT-12 reports the victim was shot multiple times while trying to escape.

SAPD says the suspects ran away and left the car behind.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.

The search for the suspects continues.
