SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Autism Treatment Center in San Antonio is holding a sensory-friendly drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinic in July.

The Autism Treatment Center is offering the vaccine to anyone 12 years of age or older that has autism. The disability-friendly vaccination site will provide an experience where sensory stimulation is kept to a minimum and the organization said staff and volunteers are trained to work with challenging behaviors caused by stress and anxiety.

ASL interpreters will be available on-site to assist.

The Pfizer vaccine will be administered in two doses on July 7 and July 28. The first dose will be administered between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

People interested in receiving the vaccine must register by July 5 at www.tinyurl.com/ATCvaccine2. Times slots for both doses will be assigned once registration is complete.
