SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A baby goat was brought to Animal Care Services after it was found Tuesday morning running in a shopping center in northwest San Antonio that has a meat market and a taqueria.

The department said the young goat is believed to be two months old and was found at a strip mall off of Bandera Road and Hillcrest.

ACS said the goat was lying down on the corner of the property and did not appear to be hurt.  However, it is not clear why it was there.

Animal Care Services said the staff there has named his Feta and will be holding on to him in hopes that his owner will claim him.

It is illegal in the City of San Antonio to allow livestock or other animals to roam off their property.
