Backyard shooting leaves 3 hurt, 4 detained, SAPD

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating a backyard shooting that left three people in the hospital Thursday morning.

It happened on the Southeast Side around 2:40 a.m. in a neighborhood near the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Vanderbilt Street. Officers arrived at the scene and found three people with gunshot wounds, one being a teenager. Each of the victims are expected to recover after being taken to the hospital.

Police detained four people, but it is uncertain if charges will be filed.

The motive for the shooting is also unknown.
