Bald eagle found safe after escape on north side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It is one thing to find a pet dog or cat that might be missing, but it is quite another to locate a bald eagle that escaped captivity.

This was the challenge for the local organization that owns the raptor.

Last Chance Forever, the Bird of Prey Conservancy reached out to the public for help on Monday after the eagle escaped while being transported to get treatment for an injury.

The bald eagle was found early Tuesday and captured quickly, according to KSAT-TV. The organization says the bird was recovered about one mile away from its headquarters on the north side.
