BCSO: Body found on East Side, believed to be missing woman
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A homicide investigation is underway after a body was found on the East Side on Monday.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene near Dafoste Park, and it is possible that the body found is that of a woman reported missing Sunday night.
Sheriff Javier Salazar would not confirm an identity, but he said the description is similar to Stacey Dramiga, 63, who had gone for a walk in the area Sunday morning.
A CLEAR Alert was issued by BCSO for Dramiga after she failed to return from the walk, and it is possible she had contact with another woman during the walk who is not considered a suspect at this time. BCSO says Dramiga had been walking along the Salgado Greenway Trail and her body was found about two miles away from her car.
Investigators say the body was found by San Antonio Park Police.
Sheriff Salazar is urging anyone who was in the area on Sunday to come forward with any videos or images that might offer clues about what happened.
