SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — As clubs and bars in the area surrounding St. Mary’s strip continue to bring in big crowds, people who live in that part of town are experiencing issues with parking, crime and litter.
In an effort to help reduce the number of calls police receive from Tobin Hill residents, traffic on several streets that feed into the strip will be limited to residents only.
Road barricades will be set up from 7 P.M. until 2 A.M. this Thursday, March 31 until Sunday, April 3.
The move is getting support from a majority of the businesses that operate along St. Mary’s strip.
Police encourage anyone with plans to travel through the area to seek alternate routes.
