Ben E. Keith trailer fire in Selma sends big smoke plume over northeast side

SELMA, Tex. (KTSA News) — A trailer fire at the Ben E. Keith plant on Lookout Road in Selma Saturday afternoon sent a tower of black smoke over much of northeastern Bexar County.

The fire had burned for at least 30 minutes before fire crews put it out at around 6:30 p.m.

No word on cause or injuries.

The sight brought crowds of onlookers to see what was going on outside the facility and nearby on Evans Road.

One observer at Evans Road noted there are few things like this that can bring people together to watch something these days.
