Bexar Co. chase yields guns, burglary tools

Two teens have been arrested and another is on the loose after they were caught with a cache of guns in their car.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says deputies tried to stop a car for a traffic violation on Maple Ridge in San Antonio’s Northeast side at around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, but the driver refused to stop.

Deputies pursued the car until the engine stopped working  and rolled to a stop near the IH 35 and Center Park Blvd intersection.

The driver and two passengers tried to run on foot.  The driver — later identified as 18-year-old Adolfo Valladolid-Guerrero — and one of the passengers — identified as 17-year-old Dequavuis Hodge — were caught.  Hodge had a stolen handgun on him.

The third person in the car was able to get away.

Inside the car, deputies recovered three semi-automatic rifles, five handguns, a small amount of cash and marijuana.  Deputies also found an Xbox console with games and headsets they believe were stolen.  There were also black gloves and a ski mask.

The sheriff’s office is looking to see if the trio are tied to other crimes in the area.
