Bexar County budget proposal includes 3% pay raise for all county employees

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Bexar County employees could soon be getting a little more in their paychecks .

Commissioners voted in favor of a 3% pay hike for all county employees this week.

They came to that number after the meeting Tuesday to discuss the possibility of giving elected county officials a 5 % raise.

That number was based on suggestions a year ago by a citizen’s advisory committee.

But during discussions, Commissioner Grant Moody suggested a 3% raise for elected officials that would match the cost of living increase for all county employees.

Since the raise is part of the budget proposal for 2024-2025, the move was approved.

A final vote on the county budget proposal will take place September 10.
