Three arrested when Bexar County Deputies break up illegal gambling operation

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has broken up a gambling operation on San Antonio’s South side.

Deputies arrived Friday morning at the property located in the 300 block of East Harding Boulevard.

There are a number of buildings behind the home which is where the gambling had been taking place.

Deputies were able to confiscate a number of 8-liner machines. Some were operating while others were just being stored there.

An ATM, $15,000 in cash and some weapons were also found on the property.

Sheriff Javier Salazar says they arrested three people connected to the gambling operation and another person arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

Salazar says it’s possible the gambling operation had been running for 10 years.

Deputies had been monitoring the property for several weeks leading up to the bust.
