Bexar County Deputy who suffered medical emergency during traffic stop dies

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A Bexar County Deputy who suffered a medical episode during a traffic stop earlier this month has passed away.

Sergeant Timothy Williams stopped a driver on Stone Oak Parkway just before 2 a.m. August 17.

But while interacting with the driver, Williams suffered a medical episode.

EMS crews arrived and performed CPR while transporting Williams to a hospital.

According to a social media post by the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Bexar County, he remained on life support until Saturday, August 24 and eventually passed away.

Williams served with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for 33 years.
