SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — For the second time in less than 24 hours, a Bexar County Jail inmate was set free by mistake.

The most recent erroneous release was Thursday night when 32 Erica Morales was released from the Adult Detention Center.

She was being held on a non-violent drug charge and at 7 PM, booking staff made an error and let her go.

Once they realized the mistake, Deputies were dispatched to began looking for Morales. She was located at around 11 PM at Commerce at Comal Streets.

There’s an internal investigation underway and the Sheriff’s Office is reporting the mistake has been tracked to some incorrect documents that were attached to Morales’ information packet.

Morales was released several hours after another inmate, 57 year old Esequiel Hernandez was set free by mistake. He was captured a short time later.
